Delivered products

The Geleen-based Chemelot site is one of the largest chemical sites in the Netherlands. Due to the size of the site, it is of great importance that calamities are communicated clearly and in time.

In order to identify in which zone the calamity is taking place, AGMI has developed and delivered an energy-efficient system for Sitech, consisting of 12 rotating panels, 3 traffic signals and 3 matrix boards. The supplied products are being controlled by the BOSCH control unit at the fire brigade. They are, apart from the matrix boards, all provided with self-sufficient solar energy panels. Heijmans worked hand in hand with the responsible maintenance party Engie. Together they arranged all the permits and ensured correct placement of all objects.

Based on a preliminary study into the complete energy management of the site, CMS Energy Systems determined the size of the solar panel and the required capacity of the battery. The battery voltage is also monitored by the system, sending a signal to the fire brigade when an energy shortage is likely to occur in the near future.

A durable and safe solution!
